국민건강보험공단 군산지사(지사장 남상학)는 지난 4월부터 나운동 주공5차 아파 경로당에서 고혈압 및 비만 대상자들을 상대로 생활습관병 질환 지식 및 식이∙운동요법 교육을 운영하고 있다.

군산지사는 이에 앞서 군산시 보건소와 연계해 대상자의 혈압측정, 혈당검사, 콜레스테롤검사, 비만 검사는 물론 금연, 영양상태를 측정, 전문의의 건강강좌 및 상담을 실시했다.

이를 바탕으로 개인별 건강수준에 맞게 운동요법 및 식이요법을 활용, 스스로 건강관리를 할 수 있는 구체적인 방법을 제시하는 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

오는 20일에는 저염식 식단, 실습을 통해 고혈압．당뇨등 생활습관성 질환 예방을 위한 자가 식단 관리를 교육할 예정이다.

남상학 지사장은 “매년 고혈압과 비만인구가 급격하게 증가하는 추세에 앞으로도 지속적으로 전문가를 초빙해 생활습관 개선 방법과 실천을 지도해 자가관리 능력을 향상시킴으로써 국민보건 향상에 힘쓰겠다”고 전했다.
