나운복지관, KT&G어르신탁구대회 3위 선전

전국 1,100여 명 선수단 참가

군산나운종합사회복지관(관장 장정열, 이하 나운복지관) 신바람 노인대학 어르신들이 지난 20일 수원에서 열린 KT&G복지재단 어르신 라지볼탁구대회에서 전국 3위에 올랐다.

KT&G복지재단과 한국노인종합복지관협회가 공동주최한 이번 대회는 60세 이상 어르신들의 건강증진과 여가생활 체육보급을 위해 마련, 전국에서 1,100여명의 선수들이 참여한 가운데 열려 그 열기를 더했다.

나운복지관 탁구대회 선수단장 이용화(74) 어르신은 “어느 해보다 쟁쟁한 선수들이 많았던 대회라 걱정했는데, 평소 연습한대로 기량이 발휘된 것 같아 너무 기쁘다”며 “이렇게 좋은 기회를 마련해 준 나운복지관과 함께 해준 동료선수들에게 감사하다”고 말했다.

한편 나운복지관의 신바람노인대학 탁구반은 11년째 40여명의 회원들이 참여해 활동하고 있으며, 지난 2009년에도 한기장복지재단배 어르신탁구대회에서 종합우승을 달성한 바 있다.
