옥산면 보건지소 새단장!

지역 주민 보건의료서비스 개선 기대

옥산면 옥산리에 위치한 옥산면 보건지소가 새롭게 단장해 인근으로 이전한다.

기존 옥산보건지소는 건축된 지 21년이 되어 낡고 협소한 건물로 환기가 되지 않아 곰팡이가 피는 등 노후 정도가 심해 그동안 이용하는 데 큰 불편을 겪어 왔다.

더욱이 농촌의 노령화로 보건지소의 이용률이 증가함에도 건물이 협소하고 노후화되어 보건의료서비스 욕구를 충족하지 못하는 실정이었다.

이에 따라 군산시는 총 5억3천여 만원의 사업비를 투자해 지상 2층 연면적 338㎡의 규모로 이달 중순경 공사 발주해 11월말 준공을 목표로 사업을 추진하고 있다.

새로 신축되는 보건지소는 건축물의 외관과 각종 시설물 등을 날로 높아지는 군산시의 이미지에 부응하도록 세련미를 갖춘, 이용하기 편리한 건축물로 설계했으며 진료실, 체력단련실, 건강증진실 등도 함께 들어선다.

시 관계자는 “새로운 보건지소가 준공되면 3,200여명의 주민들의 진료서비스와 건강증진을 위해 한 단계 업그레이드된 보건의료서비스를 제공할 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다.
