고교생, 새만금 낚시 500만원 상금 낚았다!

올해 새만금 전국 바다낚시대회 영예의 1등 행운은 경기도 안성에 거주하는 고교생 김찬엽(18)군에게로 돌아갔다.

제4회 군산시장배 새만금 전국 바다낚시대회(선상)가 지난 10일 고군산군도 일원에서 전국 400여 낚시객들의 참여속에 성황리에 열렸다.

이번 대회에서 아버지와 함께 동반 출조한 김 군은 검척결과 우럭3미 합산 136cm를 들어올려 134cm를 낚은 2위인 김창환(충남 당진)씨를 2cm 차이로 물리치고 1위에 올랐다.

이 외에도 전주에 박근형씨는 광어 68cm를 낚아올라 특종상을 수상했고 행운권 추첨행사를 통해 푸짐한 경품을 지급했다.

특히 이번 대회에 참가한 선수들은 고군산군도의 빼어난 경관을 즐기면서 우럭, 농어, 돔 등 다양한 어종을 많이 낚아 고군산해역의 우수한 바다낚시 여건을 널리 알리는 계기가 됐다.

시 관계자는 “본격적인 새만금 방조제 개통을 앞두고 군산을 찾는 바다낚시객들이 연중 다시 찾아올 수 있도록 풍요로운 수산자원 조성 및 어촌관광을 적극 개발해 해양관광도시 개발의 초석이 될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
