군산시의회 폐기물환경특위 본격가동

19~20일, 조사대상업체 현장방문 나서

군산시의회 폐기물환경특별위원회(위원장 진희완)가 소위원회 구성이후 본격적인 실사활동에 돌입했다.

군산시의회에 따르면 폐기물시설조사 소위원회(서동완, 유선우 의원)는 20일부터 2일간의 일정으로 우선 조사대상 업체 관련부서로부터 의견을 청취하고 대상 업체에 대한 현장방문을 실시한다.

이에따라 특위는 20일 페이퍼코리아, LNG화력발전소, (주)홍보산업을, 21일에는 한솔EME, (주)엔아이티, (주)국인산업에 대한 관련부서 의견청취와 현장방문을 통해 인근지역 피해 및 실태파악에 나섰다.

이번 활동은 확장계획 허가조사소위원회와 시설조사소위원회, 관련기관 및 단체자료수집과 검토 소위원회로 분류된 이후 처음 특위가 가동되는 것으로 나머지 2개 소위원회도 조만간 활동에 나설 계획이다.

진희완 폐기물환경특별위원회 위원장은 “특위 구성 목적대로 맑고 깨끗한 군산의 환경이 조성될 수 있도록 철저한 조사와 활동이 이뤄질 것”이라고 밝혔다.
